A solid silver and enamel medal for the North Middlesex Football League engraved to the rear "F Bennett, Avenue FC, Champions, 1929". Minor chips to the enamel. Hallmarked Birmingham 1929-30 and makers initials "D&D". The Avenue was founded in 1900, and was a member of the Athenian League from 1929 to 1939 and champions on five occasions. They joined the Isthmian League in 1945 and were champions on three occasions and runners-up six times before in 1988, being absorbed by Leytonstone/Ilford to form Redbridge Forest, a precursor to Dagenham & Redbridge. They also won the FA Amateur Cup in 1952 and 1961. They played at Green Pond Road Stadium until their demise. Also included is a solid silver medal hallmarked Birmingham 1904-05 and makers initials "TJS". Also is a solid silver watch chain measuring 32cm in length and hallmarked Birmingham 1912-13 with makers initials "TJS".
