What is the Sportbilia policy on fees?
As collectors ourselves we don’t like having to pay fees when we buy or sell sports memorabilia. That said, nothing is for free, so our policy is to keep our fees as reasonable as we can.
Is there a cost to browse?
There‘s no charge to browse items at Sportbilia. However, you will need to register before you can sell, bid in the auction or buy fixed price items.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, there are absolutely no hidden fees. We have made our fees as transparent as possible.
Is there a cost to use the sports memorabilia database?
At the moment, there are no plans to charge for using the sports memorabilia database. However, once the cost of creating and maintaining the database has been established we may need to charge a small annual fee to cover these costs.
Why do we charge fees?
Sportbilia is owned by a private company, Sportbilia Limited, with a duty to its shareholders to generate a reasonable return on their investment. A significant proportion of the fees paid to Sportbilia will be reinvested every year into improving the service it provides to the sports memorabilia community.

Buying
Is there a cost for buying?
Yes, if you are the winning bidder on an auction item or have purchased at a fixed price you will be charged 10% of the final value in the auction or of the fixed price you paid. Sportbilia is also used by other companies to hold auctions of sports memorabilia. These auctions may charge a different buyer's fee to the 10% charged in Sportbilia's monthly auction. When and if this occurs it will be very clearly stated.
How do I pay the buyer's fee?
The 10% buyers fee will automatically be added to the buyers and sellers invoice emailed to you from Sportbilia. You pay the total amount of the invoice to the seller and the seller forwards on the buying fee portion to Sportbilia.
